Gave birth at 33? Do not be afraid!

It has been believed that the ideal age for having children is in the mid-20s to 30s. But it turns out that delaying pregnancy by up to 33 years can have certain benefits for women, at least according to recent research.

Research conducted in the United States reveals that women who have their first child aged 33 years and over have a longer life. They claim that delaying pregnancy and staying fertile for longer will slow down the aging process in women.

The study found that women who had their last child after age 33 were more likely to live to the age of 95 than women who had their last child when they were 29 years old. Researchers argue that the gene variant that keeps women fertile for longer is linked to longevity.

"Of course the results do not mean women have to wait to have children at old age so they can live longer. However, the age of a woman when she gave birth to her last child can be an indicator of her aging," said lead researcher Dr. Thomas Perls of Boston University Medical Center, as reported by the Daily Mail (25/06).

According to him, a woman's natural ability to have children at old age indicates that her reproductive system has a slow rate of aging. Likewise with the state of his aging body. These results were obtained by researchers after analyzing data on 551 families from the LLFS (Long Life Family Study).

The results of this study indicate that women may have a genetic variant that can slow down aging. If women have this variant, they have a longer fertile period and have children at an older age. They will likely pass the gene on to their child as well.
