Losing weight is not just about consuming vegetables

Consuming fruits and vegetables has always been one of the things recommended for weight loss. However, a recent study revealed the opposite. The researchers explain that eating fruits and vegetables alone is not enough to help people lose weight.

These results were obtained by researchers after analyzing seven studies. They are looking for the link between the consumption of changing vegetables and its effect on body weight, as reported by Healthy Living (25/06).

"Based on all these studies, eating fruits and vegetables has almost no effect on helping you lose weight," said Kathryn Kaiser, a researcher from the University of Alabama at Birmingham.

Furthermore, Kaiser added that the results of these observations indicate that eating vegetables and fruit alone cannot help a person lose weight. So far, many people tend to get a reasonably simple message that eating fruits and vegetables will help them lose weight. Though this is not true.

Eating fruits and vegetables will not make you fat, it can also provide many health benefits because of the vitamins and fibre in them. But still eating fruits and vegetables cannot be relied on to lose weight. If you want to lose weight, you have to do other things too, not just eat vegetables and fruit.

At least eating fruits and vegetables can be the first step to losing weight, accompanied by a proper diet such as reducing fatty foods, daily calorie consumption, and regular exercise.
