Do Vitamin Supplements Affect Lung Cancer?

So far, you know that vitamin E is useful as an antioxidant in the body. Therefore, vitamin E is good for preventing cancer and also inhibits the growth of cancer cells in the body of cancer sufferers.

However, as reported by dailymail.co.uk, vitamin E supplements and several other types of vitamin supplements that are useful as anti-oxidants can exacerbate lung cancer in smokers.

Research using rats as research material reveal that anti-oxidants such as vitamins A, C, and E will turn off your body's natural defences. As a result, your immune system is weakened and cancer cells will more easily develop in your body.

This research is controversial. Dr Emma Smith, a senior researcher from Cancer Research in England said that the research needed further proof. Because according to him there are no supplements that can ward off or cure cancer. He further explained that cancer can be prevented by always eating healthy and natural foods.
