Eat fibrous food, maintain heart health

Want to have a healthier heart? A study from indiatimes.com recommends that you increase your fibre consumption.

"Those who eat a lot of fibre have a lower chance of developing heart disease by up to 25% compared to those who eat less fibre," explained the researchers.

To reach this conclusion, researchers at the Harvard School of Public Health analyzed data involving 2,258 female and 1,840 male patients who survived a mild heart attack. The researchers found that these patients improved their lifestyle by eating lots of healthy foods. One way is to eat more fibre.

"Fiber can increase blood lipid levels and reduce the risk of high blood pressure. Fibre will absorb bad cholesterol in the body so that your heart is healthier," wrote this study.

This research also proves again that eating healthy foods will have a positive impact on improving health. So, good luck with running a healthy lifestyle!
